London Midland Super Off-Peak

Hi,

I'm looking for tickets from Birmingham to London return with London Midland on Friday. I would like to use their Super Off-Peak ticket but according to the journey planner, this ticket is valid on the 15:54 but not the 15:46 (1 change) return departure from Euston. This seems very strange as surely the 15:46 is more off-peak than the 15:54.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Yes, the journey planner is wrong - it says that any journeys with a change of train that departs between 16:30 and 19:30 are invalid.
That is not the case, it is only the initial departure that cannot be during those times.

Not valid for travel on London Midland services timed to DEPART any station between 1630 and 1930 in either direction unless a connecting service is being used to complete a journey begun at a valid time.
