I'm guessing what's happened here is a 350 failed (possibly it failed when it was attached to another 350 trapping the other) and they used a 7 car Sprinter combination to fill in, which would run late due it's 75mph top speed.

Well it was definitely a Class 90 and had 7 Mark 2 coaches.. with Green Interior seating and the London Midland Maps up by the door.

Presumably you mean a class 90 not a 60!

I am not aware of any loco hauled stock used by LM, anyway would a 7 coach train fit into some of the platforms between Stoke and Crewe?

I've put a request on a different forum to see if anyone with TRUST access can find out what worked it :)

Remember due to my job, MCR i have access to trust :)
The only thing, I can think of is the Caledonian sleeper Engine to Hall the Stock

Im not good with Stock numbers Lol.. All im guessing is the fact that the Caledonia Sleeper didn't have a engine to it when we left.

So my thoughts go out to the fact that they used the Engine for that, and then they have London Midland Coaches in a siding somewhere.

Can't you search it, then copy and paste the numbers on here?

As westcoaster said, the headcode is 1U25.

The Calledonian sleeper wouldn't have had an engine because it would have been at the buffers end.

The Service Left London Euston at 07:44
Arrived Stoke on Trent at 10:14. Called All stations.

This probably sounds awfully defeatist, but bearing in mind the cost of hiring the loco and coaches, presumably on a "spot hire" rate, I think I would have been tempted to cancel the service (unless loco hauled is going to become a regular feature of LM services that is :D )

You never no, Kingfisher because it did look quite modern and the Station Manager looked shocked!. As I no a secret with London Midland :)
That im not aloud to properly say, involving a new route that there bringing out.

A loco hauled all stopper from Euston to Crewe would have surely not kept to time would it? All the stopping and starting compared to a 350 would have severely delayed the service?

The LM stoppers call at 'a few' more stations than that ;)

I've been told it was 350103 from (what I think) is a reliable source.

Think this was just a wind up. -_-
