Just passing through Chelmsford yesterday, and we passed a 321 in full new LM livery in service... can anybody enlighten what has gone on here?

Thanks!

It was on a Clacton service when I saw it at Liverpool St yesterday. Unit is 411.

415 has also transferred over from LM to IL. 411 should be off back to LM fairly soon when 413 arrives from Doncaster to replace it.

Or at least, I think thats whats planned!

What livery is 413 being painted into at Doncaster? Seems strange if LM as I thought all of theirs were coming off lease and NX I didn't think were due to get anymore as they'd got 21-37.

According to my records 321415-417 are staying with London Midland despite 415 still being in Silverlink livery!

321411-414 including 413 should now be off lease? They are being repainted (all but 413 have been) as I believe it is part of a routine exam and no other operator has claimed rights over them as yet?

Are 321421/422/425/435 working for East Anglia still in Silverlink livery?

I saw 321411 whilst at Liverpool Street on the c2c 'Last Blue Train' tour. It attracted quite a bit of attention onboard our train.

421, 422 and 425 are all still in Silverlink livery albeit 425 is in bits. Not too sure about 435, not seen it for a while. The only Silverlink liveried ones I see kicking around are 415, 421 and 422.

425 in bits?

Hasn't worked in about a year, out of miles, parts robbed etc. Won't be seeing it back in use any time soon, same as 321346 (which has been moved to Clacton for further storage/repairs as time permits to make room at IL)

What records show LM getting rid of 411-414? I've never seen it published, would be interested! Plenty conflicting gen around, AFAIK they are keeping five sets (411/412/414/416/417) with 413/415 going to NX but again thats just by word of mouth rather than anything official.

435 is still in SL and in service, as is 415.

Feel free to keep the rancid things. We don't really need them anyway.

 They always were awful, though it didn't help that they never received any sort of proper refurbishment. The Desiros have made West Coast suburban travel a lot more pleasant (though the less said about their operator, the better...).

I like the 321s! I saw this at Liverpool St on Friday and went for a walk through it and a quick sit down, brings back memories :D
