I was just wondering. Wasn't the London Midland franchise supposed to announce its new operator by June but it's now July?? Unless I have missed something

Perhaps it has been delayed as suggested on another forum.
The recent election one reason. The DfT have two other problems to deal with just now, GTR dispute and possible judicial review into the franchise and also the problem with VTEC. If neither are resolved quickly then there maybe interesting times ahead.
