Anyone know LM's rules for max distance home to workplace?

Is it one hour commute/ 30 miles radius or something else?

Depends on what the job entails, if working in a ticket office you are required to be at place of work prior to the first train to open up and close after the last one has left!

Sorry, should have been more specific- a trainee driver role - toc's usually publish a maximum distance/ commute time that they are prepared to accept for a new starter but I can't remember what LM's was

Generally for drivers due to the new Euopean fatigue index proposals but I would presume this will soon apply to all safety critical roles

Does the 45 minute rule also apply if your depot is in Central London
or is it then a certain mileage?

Different TOCs have different rules.

Generally the rule of thumb is an hour to wherever you are based. EMT however stipulate 90 mins if you are travelling to London, I believe. However as stated above, driver roles may have different rules due to the nature of the work; although surely TM's/Guards should be the same? Or Safety Crit people / non-Safety Crit people.
