Any news of people mistaking LM trains for Southern services?

Lots of confused people when the 350s come in for East Croydon. Both the LM punters expecting to go to Euston, and the ones wanting to go to Croydon expecting a Southern train. Guard was doing a good job of yelling at the platform that the train "was definitely for East Croydon" and was simply "a Southern service in disguise".

That's today and last Thursday at least!

I don't think the Southern use of LM stock has been publicised properly.

At H&W, announcements aren't that great, and sometimes nothing is said at all. Snce TfL took over H&W, I think the number of anouncements made for LM services have reduced, so I wouldn't be surprised if a number of people wanting to go to Clapham have ended up at Euston! I wonder what the penalty fare situation is with that?

Nice big poster in a prominent place at Leighton Buzzard (in the main building), can't say how long it has been there as I usually go through the side entrance. With regards to H&W, I get the impression that LOROL are not not much bothered about the main line side.

You may be right. It is poorly staffed, especially at night. The installation of the ticket barriers was poorly thought out. You often get commuters clogged on the staircase to exit the station. Also it has effectively split the ticket hall in half, with one window line side, and the other road side. So what you end up with is a long queue for the road side window, and no queue on the line side window.

LM will be introducing 'shuttles' in their new timetable from May 17th. These trains will start at WJ, and call at Bushey, H&W and Euston.

They were publicising this today with leaflets on train seats.

Just visited the Improving our services page and found this:

More seats

How we are doing it
We are introducing a brand new service – the ‘Watford shuttle’. The shuttles are extra peak time services just for passengers who travel from Watford, Bushey and Harrow. This will also mean that our longer distance services into London can be quicker and have more available seats.

When it will happen
The first shuttle will start from Monday 18 May. This will run from Watford Junction at 08.03 calling at Bushey at 08.06 and Harrow at 08.11 arriving at London Euston at 08.25. By the end of the year we plan to introduce a further eight shuttles on weekday mornings and evenings.

It shouldn't be plural!
