London Midland 321s

Does anyone know the London Midland class 321 diagrams?

I couldn't find an existing thread but i'm sure there is one but that may be out of date due to timetable changes ect.

Any help would be appreciated.

According to the latest issue of RAIL magazine, starting from the December Timetable change, the services it will do are:

0633 Bletchley - Euston
0754 Watford Junction - Euston
0815 Watford Junction - Euston
0832 Bletchley - Euston (which starts at Tring at 0842)

1728 Euston - Watford Junction
1804 Euston - Milton Keynes (extended to Northampton)
1820 Euston - Milton Keynes

Im not sure what the diagrams are currently, but hope that helps.

London Midland cannot control wheather they get rid of thier 321s i believe its the DFT who control stock and orders. Please someone expand and correct where wrong.

It was enshrined in the franchise agreement that the 321s would be displaced on a one-to-one basis, hence the 37 350/2s. However, LM then sought to increase capacity beyond what was already specified and therefore successfully negotiated alterations to their agreement with the DfT (no doubt the associated ROSCO was involved too) - which is why they're keeping 7 321s (any above that are just covering for 3 'SR' 350/1s from LM, which are still covering for 3 'FCC' 377/2s from SR until late next month).

As for the displaced 321s - 17 are confirmed for NXEA services starting this December (although a few are already in use there), 6 are currently with FCC (5 since May), and the rest are as yet unallocated although FCC are seeking to acquire 4 more for services starting as early as May 2010.

They’re website is called 'southern railway' so I presume so.

Regarding the legal name, I've seen the name on a DfT list so the 'New' prefix was indeed removed.

As for the 321/4s, let me try it another way:

Confirmed
17 for NXEA. Some are in use now and some are elsewhere (in warm storage/being overhauled etc), but the DfT have authorised all 17 to enter service from December.
5 or 6 for FCC. They got 5 for use from May, then acquired a sixth in order to aid capacity whilst their 321 refresh program continued. Whether or not that sixth unit will stay after that I'm not sure.
7 for LM. In the very short term they still have 9 due to the aforementioned loan of 350/1s to Southern.
Total - 29 or 30.

FCC want to have 10 in total for use in May 2010. So potentially another 4 or, if the aforementioned sixth unit has already left them by then, 5.
That leaves 3 which are currently (and/or will shortly be) in warm storage. c2c's official position is currently unknown but current thinking is that they're no longer in the chase for any remaining units.

The changes coming this year are yes, but the plans for 2010 is a timetable re-write which NXEA recently had a consultation about. Noises from NXEA in the last week say that all suggestions put forward in the consultation will happen.

Thats what the extra 4 or 5 diagrams 87015 mentioned will be, either a direct strengthened 321 services or replacement of a 360 service so that a 360 is free to strengthen another 360 services.
