London midland 153333 + 153325

London Midland 153333 and 153325 are on hire to First Great Western for the summer. I heard they might be on the weymouth services. I saw the two units past Cheltenham Spa yesturday at around 10am
can anyone confirm this?

they left Worcester Shrub Hill at 10.06am and arrived at St Philips Marsh depot at 11.39am, they will be used on normal FGW class 153 diagrams.

They were on local services between Penzance/Plymouth & Newton Abbot/Exeter St Davids I believe, as saw them this morn passing where I work.

The units FGW recieve for the summer tend to do the heavy tourist routes, so from Exeter one would be on the Exmouth-Paignton run.

They were on the run between Penzance & Exeter today, prob find they'll be on the Torbay runs tomorrow.

One's on the Looe branch and the other Plymouth-Penzance. These units can and probably will end up on any FGW Class 153 diagram.

One starts from Penzance tomorrow and one from Exeter. One should be on the Falmouth branch and the other will probably be operating Exmouth-Paignton and Exmouth-Barnstaple services.

It's very rare you get 153's on the Barnstaple line - like I say they tend to team up with a 142/143/150 unit on the Exmouth-Paignton.

153325 is on the Falmouth line today. Ends at Exeter tonight so will probably end up on Exmouth-Paignton and Barnstaple service tomorrow.
153333 should work the 2211 Bristol-Gloucester tonight, finishing there.

It's very rare you get 153's on the Barnstaple line - like I say they tend to team up with a 142/143/150 unit on the Exmouth-Paignton.

All the Paignton-Exmouth services form Exmouth-Barnstaple service so quite a few run to Barnstaple. Mainly attached to a pacer but there is sometimes a pair of 153s around on those services.

It was due to head off to Bristol at 19:16 but, due to a lineside fire between Exeter and Bristol, it didn't get far!

No, not tomorrow. Will be a while before one of them makes its way back round to work the Falmouth branch I expect. Only one of the diagrams on the Falmouth branch is a 153 now anyway. If 153333 never made it to Bristol, expect both to operate from Exeter tomorrow. Best place to see them would be in the Exeter area at the moment.
