Hi All.

Travelling from Banbury to London to use the Eurostar to Lille - I was thinking of purchasing London International CIV tickets but I am picking up my Eurostar tickets from St Pancras. I have the print out of travel itinerary to take with us so we can pick up our tickets etc, would this be ok to use in conjunction with the CIV tickets on the way down as proof of travel on Eurostar?

Hope this makes sense!

Stu

Or buy tickets over the phone from Eurostar (01233 617913). The UK tickets you get via this method are exactly the same as the ones you would get as part of a "through" booking on eurostar.com from somewhere-outside-London to Lille/Paris/Brussels, which are definitely fine with a booking confirmation, collecting Eurostar tickets in London, as that's how Eurostar themselves encourage you to do it if you can't print at home.

Good idea - only problem is I'm going tomorrow and been so hectic that I kinda forgot about the UK leg of it! :) Could always give them a ring and see what they say!

Unfortunately Eurostar Domestic Sales close at 17:00. This is a shame as the Euro Open Single from Banbury to London Estar CIV is only £7.50. The staff at the ticket office tomorrow morning should however accept your booking confirmation and sell you a ticket from Banbury to London International CIV at £24.90 for a Standard Single or £25.00 for a Standard Return. Tickets to London Estar CIV can only be obtained from Eurostar Domestic Sales or www.eurostar.com as part of a through booking. Raileasy and any ticket office can sell the London International fares.

Thanks to you both.

I was searching for the ticket destination code of LNE so those cheaper fares never came up! Oh well, I shall know for next time!

Thanks for your help - we just got them on the day with no issues (the £25 one).

Glad to see that. Did you have to produce your booking reference?

As an aside what else do you have to have on your person to validate tickets to London International CIV +?
