London Euston - Heathrow T1

Having identified a very attractive fare courtesy of SickyNicky's spreadsheet, I can now get to London Euston at an affordable rate.

I want to walk from Euston to Kings Cross and get the tube to Heathrow Terminal 1, but, what's the best fare for this leg? Will be travelling in the evening peak.

Had a look at "BR Fares" website and I was wondering whether this is the ticket I need?

No point really getting an Oyster card for this one off single journey because of the deposit!

Is there a direct bus from Euston-Heathrow as an alternative?

Will you be intending on making a journey in the reverse direction sometime in the future? To be honest, an Oyster is actually your best bet if so. Yes, there's the deposit, but you can get that back and you'll be paying over a tenner if you're making a journey back another day.

There is no direct bus at any time of the day between Euston and Heathrow. The minimum required is two buses and even that is not an option in the evening peak.

Are you travelling into London Euston on a train? I.e London Midland or Virgin?

In that case you can always hand it back at Heathrow. A bit more hassle than the paper ticket granted, and only a 50p saving on Oyster so I can understand your reasons.

If you will consider the Express then also consider Heathrow Connect, pay to Hayes and Harlington and Oyster PAYG from there to Paddington.

Simplest will be to pile on a Piccadilly Line tube train and just sit tight until Kings Cross
