Now that the new platforms (14 and 15) are in use at London Bridge, it has struck me that the gap and step between the train and the platform is at least as bad as it used to be before rebuilding (and possibly a little worse), and is certainly far worse than new platforms at other stations (London Overground's Canada Water, for example). Given that the stock using both stations is to the same outline, why has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to provide virtually step-free train access been missed at London Bridge?
