Anyone know what was up with Southern this evening?
From what I could discern it seemed to be lack of drivers but the impacts were big. The train I was on was 12 late but trains either side cancelled and this seemed to go on over multiple hours.

There was a signal failure at Victoria for around an hour this eve, but other than that nothing major. It is half term though, and it is a time of high demand for annual leave...

Thanks for the info. Still a few cancellations this evening but not nearly as bad so last night must've been the combo as you sais. Not that I travel on it but the 1842 Brighton seems dead unreliable from my observations.
