Even I could do better than the £400,000 piece of crap they produced. I hope Mr Coe et all feels happy with his purchase for the country, cos I don't.

Of course, we all know the real reason is that there are too many people with 'media' degrees who need some work to do. In order to boost the economy by giving these people some work, complicated rules are invented that mean logos have to be remade every so often, thus the media layabouts have some work to do and aren't leeching off JSA . The department for incompetence have just completed a £5m study that concluded that people with media degrees are too lazy to do anything else, so the only option is to ensure silly logos are designed. In addition, official logos should be as abysmal as possible so that the thousands of media layabouts who are unemployed can have a go at their own rival logos for fun and send them to websites such as the BBC to promote their work.

I think the whole olympic thing is a load of to**ers in suits trying to be creative...but failing miserably. 400,000 could have been spent on improving the capital, but no, we have to pay some over rated artist to fart on a sheet of A4.

Oh dear, the media studies lot will be unhappy, there goes their cash!
Perhaps the money could be spent on something more worthwhile instead? I have no sympathy for companies who demand huge fees on designing crap logos who employ layabouts who can't be bothered to get a proper job. Ken is right. They should not be paid.

I have yet to find anyone who actually likes this logo.
Yorkie's comment about media degrees actually brings up something else - this government's target of having 50% of students carrying on to university for a degree. What percentage of jobs actually require a degree (or is it desireable for)? Much less than 50% I would think. So people spend 3 or 4 years studying for something which is unnecessary, building up their own debts and costing the country a lot of money....
