I am looking for opportunities to profile the class 43 'Valenta' powered HST and class 86.

Access is also required for classes.. 56, 58, 90, 91, 92, 220/221

If anybody has contacts within the rail industry to help facilitate such a request or has information upon who to approach I would be glad to hear from them.

For an 86 you're best to try the AC loco group. Particularly if you offered a reasonable donation towards their on going work, I wouldn't be suprised if they could accomodate you. The only other company with them now is Freightliner, where they are found on WCML, North London Line and GEML workings.

Well Bob, Living in Banbury you will have a very hard time trying to get into a 221/220 Cab. I know VTDan is a driver of Voyagers from Birmingham Northwards. Of course it's totally down to the driver if your in the cab or not.

Of course sometimes they judge your age as I'm only 13 they hardly let me in any but if your that bit older they might let you have a sneak preview!

Good Luck!

They shouldn't let you in the cab full stop without a valid cab pass - I had that debate with someone a few weeks back.

Of course it is different depending on how young you are.

I'm well aware of that - but I'm sure everyone knows that sometimes it is all dependant on age.

Probably the best idea - the worst that can happen is they say "no". A general e-mail has seen me invited to Crown Point and Bounds Green depots so it's definately worth a shot!
