Evening.

Looking to pick some brains here. I'm messing with some maps to plot loco locations at a specific point in time, essentially when I get a TOPS list. I'll happily share these maps but am wondering if anyone has a list of all TOPS locations. I'll build the vlookups with postcodes over time as locos are allocated but that initial list and where some of these places actually are would be most useful.

Think it could be fascinating at a glance to see the spread of locos by class/operator at a click.

A far as I am aware, they are all listed on this website:

(it's the STANME entries you need)

I'm actually dumbfounded that nobody has ever tried to do this before - good luck!

That's very helpful Mark, very much appreciated. Rather than postcodes I'm using Latitude and Longitude which will give more accurate results. Few hitches with csv files but I'll post something later and would love feedback. Ta.

Assuming this is in Excel...

I'd suggest not using Vlookup as it breaks easily.

Instead, use of Index and Match is more efficient and can handle data efficiently.

Happy to help. PM if needed

Been having a little mess about.

A bit faffy to get all the data lined up from the TOPS listing and initially it'll take some time to add all the locations latitude and longitude but one that's done it should be quick.

Locos in motion are obviously harder to capture so I've placed them at their end point with details on the inbound working.

I've just done the FL 70's and 90's for now, will send you all a DM with the map on and await feedback.
