For thrash, I have to add 37351 @ ELR in 1999, 40145 on anything, 20302 struggling @ Glenfinnan on Spitfire Tour.

For Clag, 37712 with a defective turbo on a Pathfinder Tour to Leeds, ECS left for Neville Hill leaving station in thick black clag, even better @ BNS!

Well this and this have always been personal favourites.

Ohh yes, the TE10; 1940s Fairbanks Morse opposed piston technology, still in production into the 90s. Gotta love Soviet long-term planning.

Weirdly my favourite for clag is a Class 155 Super Sprinter dmu :P

Favourite comment there: "I actually flailed watching that! *Crawls away in embarrassment*"

HSTs in Aberdeen, first thing in the morning
Presumably due to the cold oil the entire area would disappear in a "light fog" as the HST was moved from the yard to the station, on arrival what then became the rear power was switched off
Just prior to departure the rear power car was switched back on again

I remember on one departure (sitting in the TGS at rear of train) and even passing Craiginches could still see smoke being produced by the front power car
Looked out to have a look at the rear power car to compare and it was the same
The train was stopped at Muchalls due to the report of "train on fire"
