Hi guys,
I've noticed most new train stock seems to be multiple units, either diesel or electric, rather than loco hauled and I was wondering why this was favoured? especially given the capacity problems this causes as carriages can't be added at busier times, to lenghten trains.
Also does anyone know if the new Hitachi Super Express's will be loco + carriage trains or multiple units?
