Hi all - hope you had a good chirstmas.

I am up in Scotland visiitng family and fancy a day out with the boss in Edinburgh on Thursday. Like to get the train so i can have a few pints!

Wonder if any one might be able to help with a fare for the above journey. Best i can do seems to be £37.50 for two normal open adult returns. Seems a bit much off peak! Can anyone offer any advice on beating this?

Work out fares to the SPT boundaries, although you need to make sure the train calls at that station

Lochwinnoch - Croy / Croy - Edinburgh
Lochwinnoch - Shotts / Shotts - Edinburgh
Lochwinnoch - Airdrie / Airdrie - Edinburgh

If you are travelling after 09:00, you may also be able to take advantage of the Roundabout ticket, albeit a bit messy with lots of tickets!
