Is there any possibility that the railway built for the British Aluminium Company from Fort William could be rebuilt in a similar manner to the Welsh Highland Railway. ? As far as I know it never carried fare paying passengers, but the preservation movement in the UK has achieved some incredible achievements over the years, normally against all the odds.
