The lines out of Glasgow Queen Street (High Level) are signalled bi-directionally as far as (I think) Lenzie.

It was a slightly weird experience going up the down line in Cowlairs Tunnel and passing another train going down the up line! :o

Surely ALL terminal stations will demonstrate this at times, at least until beyond the throat when "normal" running resumes... ;)

No, the point is all trains normally approach/leave the throat of Platforms 1-7 Euston running on the right hand side. The Line X dive-under (together with the Line A flyover at Camden Jn off the Up fast through Primrose Hill tunnel) then flips them back to normal Left Hand Running at Camden South Jn.

It is two parallel single lines with bi-directional working on both of them. It's been like that ever since the Rainbow Hill crossover, where the Droitwich and Shrub Hill lines diverge, was removed in the early 70s.

In that case, what about Crediton to the site of Yeoford Junction, which are 2 parallel single lines.

what about lines which may be worked in either direction - there is a sign at Totton station regarding this
