Location in timetable data: Alvechurch Red Lion Pub?

Hi everyone,

I was just searching through some locations on RTT and I came across Alvechurch Red Lion Pub.

Is this an actual location and has it ever been used or appeared in RTT?

I suspect it is used for rail replacement bus services. You do get them every now and again, especially in rural locations, and sometimes named after pubs!

Perhaps the rail replacement bus was in service during the station upgrade in 2014?

Looking on NRE, it does give rail replacement buses as stopping outside the Red Lion pub if going towards Birmingham. It's nowhere near the station, which may be part of the reason why it has its own TIPLOC.

It's also the pub at the BBC Countryfile Live event, named after John Craven.

The Elephant and Castle is also the name of a pub on the Gyratory

The buses that are on the system running to Minehead Butlins stop at the Bishops Lydeard L Arms in both directions

There are plenty of pubs and other non-rail locations in the data. Almost all for Rail Replacement Bus services, though a few like Portsmouth Arms are stations (almost) next to pubs of the same name.

It is indeed. I caught a Sunday morning all-stations RRB from there a year or two ago (probably last summer, not quite sure). Trying to fit most of a 323 into an Optare Solo is an interesting exercise.
