Hello all, I know this may come across as a stupid question, but I've always heard of the terms "loading gauge" and "route Clearance" whilst I know in essence it means weather a train can or cannot go on a route, I don't actually know what these factors are, as in to determine it. I always assumed trains were fairly similar size wise.
Of course I know some lines are determined by power, i.e. electric trains need electricity etcc, but yeah, any help would be appreciated
Thanks!
