LNER - unreserved coaches

I'm planning a return trip on 1B84 and 1B85 on Thursday or Friday. Does anyone know which coaches are most likely to have unreserved seats? Cheers in advance.

LNER HSTs do not have a single unreserved coach, but reservations are usually low in coach F - I don't think they put anyone in there unless the other carriages are full or people specifically request them. On both HSTs and electric trains there is usually a batch of unreserved seats in the far end of coach B: again I think all are bookable but they're generally left available.

A bit of digging with headcodes suggests that these are the services which start/terminate at Newark? As far as I know these services are generally fairly empty anyway.
