No one had received an email yet.
I don't know how you are so sure of that.

The time line would be correct, someone from kings cross states the day before they were unsuccessful, the next day someone says successful emails out for it. Perfectly normal way of doing things.

next step i believe would be DMI and what is after DMI? is it the assessment Center? as seems like LNER do it differently

I got an email a couple hours saying I passed the video interview, now I need to book the next stage interview - I believe this is in-person/online.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for a response!
Congrats on passing the interview. Can I ask, when did you do the 6 question interview? Obviously, the timeline for outcomes for this will be different for everyone. But im just curious how long it was roughly for yourself.

Expect a wait for those for Edinburgh. Going by the email just received.

Are they effectively saying if in 6 months you hear nothing that’s it?

Or will we hear regardless by 6 months?

Got the same email. Maybe it's an automated email coming out when they do actually start to review viedoes

It's probably simply to stop folk emailing them constantly asking for updates, some who got that email will probably hear much sooner, some will be towards the end, and some never. Just got to sit tight.

I would imagine that it is the case and I'd like to think they would let you know if you have been rejected or not. I can remember reading something along the application process that if you are unsuccessful, you'd be notified. Just a waiting game now

There will be a lot of people trying there luck outwith the 1 hour distance so would imagine they will have to sift through a lot of folk but I’d imagine they have a process they work through

i'll be honest I think that considering the effort we have all gone to, to apply and go through the various stages until this point - it would be a pretty poor show if they don't even send a rejection email.

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. To not even know if you got rejected up to 6 months is brutal and really poor. Hopefully they let everyone know either way

I went through my emails from last time, I applied. So there will be an automatic email from 6 months it appears. Going by my previous experience so I would guess looks like their is a 6 months window for the vacancy going by this and the email received today

Seems like a pointless email to send - tell those that are successful that they have been, send everyone else a rejection email

Congratulations to everyone who’s heard back. I submitted my videos on the 23rd so hoping to hear back soon.

It seems that, following the timetable change and the increase in timetabled slots, there’s a greater demand for drivers at KGX. This is purely speculation on my part, but it may explain the quicker turnaround in reviewing applications compared with the Edinburgh roles.

With that in mind, I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the following:

Is priority typically given to internal applicants?

Is there any further psychometric testing after the face-to-face interviews?

This is my first application and would love to hear any feedback you may have.

Can't say 100% at LNER but for most toc hiring order normally goes

Internal first

Then external applicants who already have passed psychometric testing previously

Then external applicants who still need to complete psychometric testing (stage 1 and if successful stage 2)

Yes if successful at your interview you will do stage 1 followed by stage 2

Stage 1 is written tests
advice as someone who's passed use the practice material that will be sent

Stage 2 is computerised tests
Again advice as someone who's passed... the practice material wont help much if at all. I personally used youtube and other forums pages to get the gist of what to expect and best chance of passing

Good luck!
