Me being an idiot again...

Was trying to amend my advance ticket for the train home tonight on the LNER website. Turns out you can only cancel it. (Yes i know thats the whole point of advances but GWR for instance lets you amend free of charge) Looked all over the page for a 'cancel refund' button but couldnt find one. Asked the lady at Doncaster ticket office and she was unhelpful enough to suggest going to the website

Do i seriously need to rebook a new ticket??

I was booked (and still have the pdf) for the Hull Trains 8:04pm from Doncaster to Kings X. Is it worth talking to the guard on that train?

For non LNER tickets it's refund and rebook, You rebook first then enter your new booking reference in the refund application
