Hi,
I have just been offered a guard job with LNER Doncaster after being in the talent pool about 4 months. I’m just trying to figure out timings for handing in notice from my current roll and one of the main factors for me (single mum so just one income into the household) is trying to reduce the amount of time between paydays. Please could someone let me know if LNER pay on a set date or is it 4 weekly?
The next question is the pension, is it a defined contribution if so do you know the percentage? Or is it final salary?
Thank you for any help with this, and apologies if it’s already covered, I skimmed through other threads but couldn’t find it.

The pay is 4-weekly, next pay date tomorrow (29/09).

Pay is (in the grades I'm aware of) either one or two weeks in arrears.

Final salary for the people I'm aware of; *however* they are people who've been there a while (and there have been amendments to the scheme in the meantime), so although final salary is still likely the correct answer, will leave it to others to add any specifics.
