LNER HST Manual/cold starts

Hi guys,

Need a little help. I could do with an HST MTU manual with specific reference to cold starts or if one or you can give me any general information/point to a site I would be grateful. What I've got so far is they need priming/pre heat from cold if below 40C which is indicated in the clean air comp. is there an associated red light like a 57 to say it's ready to start? I understand the priming button switch is in the same location but this procedure adds engine hours, I've been quoted 100/200/1000 so anything difinitive would be great. Any differences to the prep vs. the Paxman sets? Any information great appriciated?

There is a red 'preheat required' light that is illuminated when the engine is too cold. This goes out once temperature is reached. No light to confirm that you can start it up, just the absence of the light I just described. You can bypass the preheat required with a tagged switch that is in the same location. What affect that has on engine hours/warranty I don't know unfortunately.
