LNER cancellation email

I'm booked on the 0440 LNER service from York to London Kings Cross on Friday the 17th March.

I've received an email from LNER telling me the service is cancelled due to the strike on the previous day.

I still want to travel that day so do I just turn up for the next service or do I need to change the ticket.

It has a link to refund or change. If I click on the reason being my train was cancelled it only gives me previous dates. If I click on due to industrial action it doesn't recognise the 17th as a strike day.

Do you want to refund the ticket? You can use it on a later train without changing it at all.

As advised above if you still wish to travel, simply turn up at the station on the day and travel on a subsequent train which is running. You won't however have a seat reservation, so you could choose to make one a couple of days before using the LNER website or by visiting a ticket office. Alternatively there are a small number of seats on each train which are non-reservable so you may want to board there.
