Never seen this before, Azuma on plat 8 forcing northern Harrogate service to platform 9.

Yeah was a bizzare one. Usually in 11 and the Harrogate was in 9 for some reason

It also went from Platform 8 one day in the week before Christmas. It put in a pretty good firework display when it departed - probably 35 years of crud on the contact wire!

Wonder if it was done on purpose to have some electric useage of that platform, can't think of any other use of that platform for many years.

800201 was used for train/platform measurements on the 30th of October, in readiness for these trains inevitably using platform 8 at various times, given the new service.
