LNER at Kings Cross, Platform 9 (not 3/4)

Is it unusual for LNER to go into Platforms 8-10 at Kings Cross, 1Y83 12:27 from York to Kings Cross a 5 car Azuma had gone in on platform 9, all the platforms 1-7 were filled up as a consequence of the earlier disruption. At times of disruption does this often happen?, the berth describer a few minutes ago on Tracksy just says LNER

Taking a look at RTT I can see a few trains do each day, even outside disruption.
Platform 8 is far more common than 9 or 10 (for obvious length related reasons).

One such example I can see on Weekdays, 1A09 (09:52 arrival from Hull) is booked to be in platform 10 until it's departure as the 1D11 (10:40 to Harrogate)

There are a couple of booked workings into P10 on weekdays, and quite a few in P8, according to RTT for future dates. Didn’t see any booked P9 though.

No reason they shouldn't, as long as they are short enough, although I've never seen it. I have had a Grand Central class 180 from Platform 10 though.

There's booked work in and out of 9/10 though from a planning perspective I can say they're very well subscribed. If you're using them its usually a short turnaround or you need to do an ECS out and back in to clear the platform.

It's a Sunday, they don't go any further than King's Cross

Weekdays you get 2 LNER trains using platform 10, one is 1D11, the other is an ECS around 5pm. Neither has a particularly sharp turnaround. Sunday has 5 trains. It picked up from the start of the Velocity timetable.

Yeah, I know that... It was just that they normally go from Platform 8

I wonder if the Thameslink service will EVER go through "The Core" on a Sunday??
