Hi all,
I have done the video interview (just before Christmas) and this week received the following email
No news is good news? Either way - I want to be prepared if I am lucky enough to get some actual good news any time soon. Wondering if anybody has any advice for the DMI? I gather it'll be fairly standard "give me an example of a time" questions, anyone got any more insight than that?

Interviews will be arranged in stages, so please do bear with us whilst we work through the applications. If you have completed and video interview you will receive a response but this may not be immediately due to the number of applications. |

I applied and done the Video Interview a while ago. Feel my answers were strong and very relevant to the post. No email about an interview yet though

Yep, that's what you do. Don't forget to smile and have energy. Be memorable!
And in terms of prep, did you just prep the common qualities/competencies if a train driver role as you would a normal interview? Or is there anything else you revised prior.
Prepare examples to prove you have those qualities.
Learn about the company, their values, routes, traction, future plan.
Prepare some questions for the interviewer.

Ah the video interview, then only point one stands I would assume. It’s almost like a one person DMI.
Get your examples ready, the questions are likely “give us an example of a time you did xyz”.
If you get to the DMI then what I said applies to all companies.

Video and face to face interviews are numerous, have good scenarios and relate them specific to the driving role. From my successful experience they really, really liked company specific information too.
Company specific - as in linking examples to the company? oOr are you referring more to the DMI interview with this. I'm not internal so not sure my examples would be linked to the company per se.

Info about the company - Goals, Awards theyve won, employment missions etc. etc.
Dont have to be internal to read an about us page.

Was just a general query regarding linking examples for competencies.

Has anyone got progress or updates?
Hi I’ve been following this post slightly as I applied for a King’s Cross role. I completed my video interview on 16/2 has anyone from this thread done the video interview and not heard back yet? Just asking to gauge timescales etc as I see some people are lucky enough to have progressed quite far!

If I remember right it was at least a few weeks after the video interview before I heard anything back, I imagine there will be a lot of applications for London so may take some time.
Yeah I’ve seen the forum for the one I’ve applied for, a few people have had no’s and a few had yes’s and interviewed this week. Nearly 6 weeks since the video interview for me now. I’ll just be patient! Thanks for the reply
