LNER 800 stabled at Grantham.

Yesterday (Wednesday 19th) I was at Grantham and an LNER 5-car 800 was stabled in the sidings all afternoon.

Just curious about it, does LNER have a service which starts or terminates at Grantham or would it have been put in there as a failure in traffic?

It was 1B90 from Tuesday evening. Struck a large deer and disable the unit, it was able to limp forward at 20mph to Grantham where it terminated.

Currently moving now as 5Z10 to Doncaster depot at 20mph, as it’s horns isn’t working, and as per rule book it is only able to do 20mph.

I once had a senior manager instruct me to do 40mph with no horn via our Control office as i was causing severe delays. I treated this instruction with the contempt it deserved & plodded along at 20mph as you say as per the rule book.
