Sundays is the only good day for going via Weedon on diversion, and then it'll only be the hourly Crewe service. The track via Weedon is appalling is it specced for Pendos only. The 350s ride like a rough cart over cobbles and it's very discomforting!

Complete nonsense.

I meant there is a definite ride quality difference ;) Weedon on a Pendo is great, really smooth, the Desiros bounce around like anything. Some old dears bag fell off the luggage rack (it was placed precariously) on top of her the last time we went that way. Someone else also agreed the last time this came up in conversation, and indicated the track was treated differently - this was the basis of the above comment. You, OT, Hydro and Simon the NR chappie on here know more, I'd be interested to know the full case.

If anything the Old Line will be maintained within tighter limits having a higher line speed.
Nothing to do with it carrying Pendolinos, just a because of the linespeed and amount of traffic.

The difference in ride is more likely due to the 350 running at a higher speed on a sharp curve than you are used to. With the suspension reacting to the curving forces between the wheels and the rails.
