anywhere between tyseley and Stourbridge junction is good for 150s (every 10 mins each way). I'd go to Droitwich spa (1x170 per hour and 2x150s per hour) for both.

Only stations where you can see both in the week is Droitwich, Worcester Foregate Street, Malvern Link and Great Malvern. There's also Smethwick G Bridge if you don't mind some yo-yoing. At New St on a Saturday some LM trains via Walsall can be 150s, on a Sunday some also go on the Herefords via Bromsgrove.

I've never seen 150s on the Herefords, only on the Great Malvern services!! Its normally 170s (sometimes with 153s) for London Midland.

Worcester Shrub Hill is also a good place to see both but is most busy on weekday evenings when less avoids it and goes straight to Worcester Foregate Street.

The Snow Hill area is probably the best place for 150's
Generally run through Smethwick Galton Bridge towards Dorridge and beyond as well as to various other places

The Rugeley TV to Birmingham New St service is generally a class 170 and is sometimes strengthened by a 153 working with it in multiple if you are after something else :)

If you read my post carefully, I said on Sundays they operate on the Hereford via Bromsgrove diagrams. In the week it is 170s and the odd 153.

I'd suggest Small Heath. Regular class 150s on the Snow Hill to Dorridge/Stratford lines, plus fairly frequent LM class 170 empty coaching stock workings from New Street. There's a Monday to Friday Tyseley to New Street ECS formed of THREE LM 170s that leaves Tyseley at 16:28, giving the unusual sight of a seven car Turbo formation!

Otherwise, I'd say Worcester is a good bet.

Theres a 150 on a Hereford on saturday. It goes as the 1556ish Shrub Hill to New Street via Camp Hill line and returns as the 1649 to Hereford via normal route. It then goes to Dorridge from Hereford via Snow Hill.

150s also used to go to Hereford on the weekends when the line via Bromsgrove was blocked, and a Kidderminster service was extended to Hereford. Think this was Saturday only, presumably because theres not enough paths via Stourbridge for all services that go via Bromsgrove on a normal day.

Really?

I'm sorry but I can't find that on National rail enquiries, would you mind pointing it to me via a URL or something..??

It goes from Worcester Shrub Hill at 1554 to Birmingham New Street calling at Droitwich and Bromsgrove. It returns as the 1649 to Hereford calling norm stations for that service. After that, it goes as the 1911 Hereford to Dorridge via Birmingham Snow Hill.

As far as I know, its the only regular 150 booked on the lickey incline (i thought they were banned from it???). reckon this service is done to primarily keep route (Camp Hill) and traction (150 to Hereford) up-to-date.

Not 100% sure on camp hill though. read it somewhere but can't find it now.

Ok thanks for that :)

But I'm still slightly confused, as does the BHM to HFD service go via the Camp Hill route?

And which way is this route, I thought it was via Stourbridge!?

The BHM-HFD service goes New St-Proof House Jcn-St Andrews Jcn-Bordesley Jcn-Kings Norton-Bromsgrove-Droitwich-Worcester. As I said and has been confirmed, 150s do use New Street on Sundays, I see them all the time there on booked work.

I was of the impression pretty much all HFD > BHM and vice-versa workings went through Five Ways and not around Camp Hill. Certainly has been the case for as long as I can remember this millenium.

Saturdays, yes there is that one that goes via Kidderminster (dunno why that came into effect, I sure didn't know about it in the previous timetable period), Sundays again yes they do use New Street as I've suffered 150s out of New Street to Malvern on Sundays. Horrible contrast to the 170s!

But does this mean they go to Hereford though?

I presume they must do if Mumrar has seen them going there at BHM.
