Steel, Steam & Stars on 17th to 26th April

I'm really looking forward to this one. We have a cottage, booked for the whole week, that has the railway line almost at the bottom of the garden with views of it from the cottage windows.When we are not out riding on the trains or visiting other local railways I can sit in the garden with my camera.

I'll be there from the 18th to 21st. I'll be camping at Carrog. Should be a good gala if the last SSS was anything to go by.

It does look a good event, especially if they get 6100 as has been mentioned in one or two places. I'm hoping they will advertise which locos will be running passenger trains on which days in due course, so I choose to pop over on the day that provides maximum use of my red pen!

I believe the intention is to say which locos work each day but the allocations for each service won't be. I presume there will be a WTT you can buy or included with tickets.

We'll be going, but only for the day - can't wait though! I'm just looking forward to travelling on the line. That and the 'Dukedog' in BR black...
