What has surprised me is not the number of posts on here that reckon the budget was a bad move, but the number of financial professionals, including ones that you would expect to be sympathetic to the Conservative cause, who are concerned.
The latter quote is the sort of prediction that would have been made had Corbyn been elected PM. Inflation rising will just push mortgage rates up, so reducing the benefits of the stamp duty cut and making the cost-of-living crisis even more difficult for those who are just about getting by.
