didn't note the number, but saw an NX 317 in silver and white livery last night that had recently lost its "dot to dot" stripes (along with other branding), certainly more recently that it had visited a carriage wash! I assume the remaining silver is actual paint, not vinyl?

NX are starting to debrand all the trains in preparation for their (well deserved) departure.....confirmed in this weeks Rail Mag. Good riddance!

I make it about 20 left to treat?

Talking of liveries I saw a 319/2 today and looked terrible with various attempts to remove graffiti over a soiled southern livery. The 319/0 I saw yesterday also still in Southern livery looked almost as bad whilst their standard 319/3 and 319/4 fleet look on the shabby side! I take it all this engineering work may be affecting maintenance

Today's Railway's showed it in the livery change section of stock updates in East Coast this month, so Yes.

321425 in service yet? Nearing the end of the 321 repaints a programme that has taken a few year. I assume they all keep their names

Regarding East Coast livery any ideas on how the new franchise will use the grey? I am under the impression the grey will stay with a new stripe but obviously this will have to be of a colour to show up. I hope there isn't any tacky wording or anything. First logos would look awful.

I am growing to like the grey livery which is much better than the initial silver but feel it is spoiled slightly by the East Coast purple.

Nope. Still knackered along with 315850.

317514 is a runner again. 317511 has made a couple of trips out, but keeps failing with a loss of power.

I'm pretty sure there's one that's lost it's name but I can't remember which one. 321351 is named something about Southend Airport, and I can't help but think it was that one that lost its name plate to be renamed, if 351 was even named in the first place!

Are there any plans to get these 2 units back in service? As I went past Ilford this week they are both dumped at the back of the yard in a very folorn state.....I am guessing they will need lots of money and work lavished on them to get them up to usual crap standards that we have come to expect from Ilford and NX!

I expect they'll come back when we least expect it. They repaired 317511 (admittedly taking 6 years!), and 514 is running again, so I'm sure they'll get round to doing 315850 & 321425.

acording to the contract that NX have the answer is yes. If they don't they face financial sanction......321 425 is still in Silverlink livery and 315 850 in One but both look awful!
