Travelling 20/3/2010

Arriving by 1pm, Returning after 6pm.

I have a railcard, and don't mind going the long way round.

The FA say travel is included in my match fee :s which is only £50.

Muchos thanks in advance!

Oh, I tried splitting.

Using CDRs and splitting at Leeds, Thirsk and Darlington, I get £38.65
A SVR is just over £45

Splitting at Stalybridge and York instead saves another 50p!

LIV - SYB Y-P CDR £8.90
SYB - YRK Y-P CDR £13.65
YRK - NCL Y-P CDR £15.60
Total £38.15

Just wondering why you don't get TPE advance tickets from Manchester Piccadilly - Newcastle, and a CDR Liverpool Stns - Manchester Stns?

Eg.

Liverpool - Manchester CDR £6.55 with railcard

(1) 09.26 Manchester Piccadilly - Newcastle arr. 12.00 is £15.85 adv.

(2) 18.22 Newcastle - Manchester Piccadilly arr. 21.05 is £13.85

For (2) you have to change onto a TPE service at York - which goes to Lime Street!

Total there is £36.25, and could be 10% less if you book via TPE Student Special Offer on their website. Depends if the free 1st class post is still available.

However I do understand if you want the flexibility of non-advance tickets.
