Interesting. Looking at the times, it is part of a package that includes
- no long waits at MCV
- half hourly Liverpool-York and hourly to Scarborough reinstated.
- hourly fast Piccadilly-Hull
That said, I would be cautious about service changes 4 months away unless they are in the pdf NRT download.

I wouldn't even be that confident even if they are in these current strange times.
This is the pattern which was supposed to start in May, but has currently been postponed to September. I wouldn't hold your breath on that happening either...
It's the combined outcome of the ECML recast and MRTF "consultation" - currently slated to involve a change to a Manchester Victoria-Newcastle and Liverpool-York pattern, with the possibility of the latter extending to/from Newcastle in some hours.

Hi i was under the impression it would be this - liverpool to newcastle hourly, manchester vic to york hourly. Then from dec 2022 liverpool to cleethropes, manchester to scarborough and liverpool to hull, liverpool to newcastle hourly since that is their flagship service.
Unfortunately it's unlikely to be hourly between Liverpool and Newcastle.
