Liverpool to London

Day trip on 22/11/2009 (Sunday) Arriving at 2pm latest. Departing 6pm earliest

Looking at going as cheap as possible, but ideally not with LM (I'm aware of they're £14 ticket)

Very willing to travel from surrounding stations (Chester, Warrington, Wigan, Crewe, Manchester etc)

Why don't you have a look at what advance tickets are available?
If there is a football match on then there won't be much, but 1st may be cheaper than standard.

LM won't work with those times on a Sunday; Preston,Wigan, Warrington to Crewe is by bus.

That was my problem. Cheapest I found are about £28 single.

It is football, but the fantastic thing about supporting Wigan is that nobody else in Liverpool does, so the train home isn't full of drunken idiots!

Still looking but I may have to give this one a miss
