Liverpool to Leicester

Can anybody recommend any splits or the best value way to get from Liverpool to Leicester? There will be two of us traveling on 27 November returning either on 28 or 29 November. 1 disabled person's Railcard is held.

There are a number of ways of doing that journey but the cheapest way would be splitting at Crewe and Long Eaton.

Many thanks for that. I notice the best way to do it train times is: Liverpool - Crewe 3 trains per hour, Crewe to Derby 1 train per hour, Derby to Leicester 2 trains per hour.

So the question is: is the Long Eaton to Leicester ticket valid via Derby.

Or am I best paying a tiny bit more and splitting at Derby instead and not travelling via Long Eaton.

Absolutely valid via Derby and for the pennies you save i probably should have left Long Eaton out of the equation as you'd need a train that stops there to make it valid for Derby - Leicester leg.
