Liverpool to Hull - Friday 17th December

Hi all - hope this isn't a foolish question but if I buy a cheap single ticket from
Liverpool to Hull and I have to change at Manchester - can I hang around Manchester and get a later train or as I suspect have to travel on the designated train? Or buy L'pool to M'cr -M'cr to Hull? Ta.

Depends on the ticket type, if you tell us exactly what type of ticket you have (ie Advance, Off-Peak, Anytime etc) then someone will probably be able to help you.

If it's a 'cheap single ticket' then I guess it's an advance ticket. In which case, you must travel on the specified trains.

However, it is probably cheaper to split tickets at Manchester anyway, so you can leave however long you like there.
