Liverpool to Euston via Market Harborough

Hi all travelling from Liverpool to Market Harborough on Fri 22nd Oct.
Then Market Harborough to London Westcombe Park on Sat 23rd Oct.
Back to Liverpool on Sun 24th Oct.
I have a railcard and am travelling off-peak.

Transport Direct suggests I go via Manchester/Sheffield/Leicester to Market Harborough but simplest/cheapest surely to go via Birmingham?

Looking for cheapest way not quickest!

You may benefit from LM only tickets to Birmingham or, even better now that there is a regular service along the Trent Valley, Nuneaton. The Super Off Peak Return (OPR) Liverpool - Nuneaton is only £13.00 (£8.60 with a Railcard).

Nuneaton - Market Harborough Off Peak Return (SVR) is only £10.30 with a Railcard.
