Liverpool to Canterbury

Heyho!

A friend of mine is travelling from Liverpool to Canterbury on Friday 15th October, returning Monday morning.

I can travel for free on Virgin services (so can she if she's with me) so I think the cheapest option is London Stns > Canterbury Stns for £25.20

Can anyone do any better?

The £25.20 SVR is route Not Valid on HS1, so it would be necessary to travel Euston - Charing Cross or Victoria and back, presumably at additional cost. Your friend may wish to consider whether the £30.70 SVR route Plus High Speed would be more convenient and/or have a lower total cost. It leaves from St Pancras, 5 - 10 minutes walk from Euston.

Doesn't 'London Stations' include St Pancras Low level? - change at London Bridge for Kent.

As I understand it, tickets to/from "London Terminals" are not valid at or through Farringdon station, so you couldn't use it on a through train from St. Pancras to London Bridge.

P.S. Anyone know if there is a London St. Pancras to Canterbury ticket available?

Yes, there does appear to be a ticket available from St Pancras specifically, for travel via Farringdon, and this may be the cheapest option, but it would be quicker to go on High Speed obviously.
