Liverpool to Blackpool Trains

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at travelling from Liverpool Lime Street to Blackpool North on one of the direct Northern services at a weekend soon, and just wanted to know whethet anyone had experience of travellling on this line and what it is usually like please?

I would be looking to travel from Liverpool at around 10.30am, and return from Blackpool at 7pm. RTTrains says that some EMUs run on the line, but not sure how many carriages these have...

Last Saturday, RTT shows that there were three diagrams - one with a 319 and two with a pair of 3-car 331s. It looks like the 1036 from Liverpool is a 319 and the 1905 from Blackpool is a pair of 331s.

It looks like three pairs of 3-car 331s on Sundays.

Probably a 331 pair or 319 then, pretty good hopefully!
