Liverpool Street to Waterloo

on Friday, during rush hour (about sixish), I need to get from Liverpool Street to Waterloo. With a wheely bag. I'm happy enough walking, so was thinking of Circle to Embankment or Westminster and then walk. What would you do? Central + Waterloo & City is probably faster, but more crowded and no-one likes that guys with a big bag on the escalators at rush hour.

I'd cut the Central line bit, walk to Bank and pick up the W&C.

Central line isn't worth it for one stop. Walk to Bank if you don't mind a walk. No escalator at Bank (long travelator), and although busy, if you walk to the front of the train you'll get on easy enough.

Or a 26 bus if you are in no hurry, takes about 35-40 mins.

Or bus to London Bridge and train to Waterloo East.

Personally I'd do all three of those before chosing the Circle line route, as Sods Law says you'll have to let an Aldgate and Barking train go first at Liverpool St before getting a Circle Line.

Id do the London Bridge idea as you will be going against the main flow of people whilst going towards Waterloo East. I did a lovely walk from there to Charing cross yesterday along the thames its a dead nice walk

Or if your train is going via Stratford, get off there and take the Jubilee direct to Waterloo, it's very quick!

But you will be going with a large flow of people trying to get into London Bridge, which is a building site (and barriered). Waterloo & City may prove less stressful (and probably quicker, too)
