Couldn't understand why they were cancelling BHM-LIV trains but VTWC ones seemed to be able to get through.
This is probably true. I would say at least once a week there is some kind of problem with the Birmingham to Liverpool service that service that results in them getting turned at Parkway if not earlier, and this is just in the narrow period of time I pass through Parkway between 5 & 6.Because LM (and by extension LNR) timetabled the half hourly service way too tightly, so even a slight delay results in turning short. The reliability really is very poor; they'd be better running hourly with most trains 8 car and being done with it.
