By "Stafford" presumably what is meant is Shugborough-Betley (including the new setup at Norton Bridge)?
Stoke SCC used to control Colwich and also Norton Bridge-Betley on the main line, but I think it has lost the latter section to Rugby.
I think Rugby also controls the WCML ends of the Rugeley and Stone lines and Stafford-Penkridge.
I did see somewhere that Rugby ROC would eventually control down to Weaver Jn (ie absorbing all of the Crewe area), but that might be fantasy now.

North Lincs is two workstations, North Lincs 1 covering west of Brocklesby and North Lincs 2 east thereof. I have no information as to what equipment is in use, drivers quite reasonably don't get told such things. ;)

Thanks, I've updated the list.

AFAIK the Stratford/Sheffield IECCs at Romford are interlocking only, the desks/signallers remain at Liverpool Street IECC.
Hope Valley, East Cheshire, Piccadilly & Slade Lane desks at Manchester are also a good few years away yet I gather

Thanks, I've updated the list.

I would be interested to know how the optimum size/workload of a workstation is calculated. Obviously safety is paramount, but after that what are the ergonomics, so that a signaller is neither overworked nor underworked? I can see how there must be so many variables (length of route/track mileage, number of signals and junctions, number of crossings, maximum number of trains likely to be on screen at any one time). To take an example, how many workstations would a Cumbrian Coast scheme be likely to require? Have any workstations been found to be too ambitious?

Not really for a public forum, but digital technology is all well and good when things are going to plan, but when they don’t you can’t beat a human with experience.

TBROC Lewisham workstation has had workload issues since the additional Angerstein IXL was added, and the proposal is now to split the Lewisham workstation into two, at the Parks Bridge A and Angerstein IXL boundary moving forward.

Thanks for this info. I lived at Hither Green in 1976-80, and the Lewisham area was a nightmare then with all its flat junctions. Evidently not much has changed.
