Live departure boards

There are still many well used stations that could do with these systems being installed,

Helsby, Frodsham, Runcorn East,
Knighton and Gobowen (a modern 1).
Stations between Crewe and Shrewsbury that dont have them.
Welshpool <- why doesnt this station have 1?
Ince and Elton, And Stanlow and Thornton, to show they still care about that line.
All the Mid cheshire line stations that dont have 1.

These are stations in my area, there is probably many more. Does any1 know of any that are proosed or any that I said in my post that have recently had 1 installed, cheers.

I think the above person may be referring to physical departure boards at the stations.

PIS screens have been installed at Runcorn East last week, Frodsham and Helsby to follow.

There are many stations across the network without PIS screens. Am sure they are installed where there is demand for them and where TOCS can get third party funding for them. Whilst I agree all stations should have them, it will take time so surely stations such as Wakefield Kirkgate, Burnley stations, Knutsford and Congleton should get them well before Ince and Elton and Stanlow and Thornton, as more people would see the benefit. TOCs do not install PIS screens simply to show they care about a station.

Well I do see a benefit of them, atleast they tell you how long the train will be delayed for if the train is delayed.

I know I mentioned it in a previous thread but I hate those speaker phones they use in Wales. Craven Arms and Church Stretton are the next ones to have them installed.

Gobowen has suddenly been given a new PIS too, despite the old TV screen style information system in the office window. As I understand it ATW are in the process of installing PIS at principle stations on the Marches route, so maybe stations like Welshpool and Caersws and Nantwich, Whitchurch and Wem will follow?

Incidentally, the computer generated tannoy announcements at Church Stretton and Craven Arms have some interesting pronunciations for the Heart of Wales stations!

the computer tannoy was removed from craven arms, the new PIS is now in use there.

At gobowen, only the southbound platform has one at the time of me writing this,
