Lithuania loco hauled services

Is there any loco hauled services operating within or to Lithuania?

It's just the Russian stuff that transits through, as far as I'm aware. Even the long-distance services to the likes of Klaipeda are now in the hands of units.

The last loco hauled services were Vilnius to Klaipeda and Riga - Kyiv. I think the first is now mostly units but there are a few loco hauled services a day, and the second is now suspended.

There are of course the Moscow - Kaliningrad trains, which are neither within nor to Lithuania as they pass through without booked passenger calls (though with the occasional absconder at Kena)

If you check for trains that aren't wheelchair accessible, then these are either the loco hauled ones or units where the wheelchair spaces are sold out. For the loco hauled ones you'll see that the seating layout will also include carriages with the throwback of compartments!

Those compartments are actually sleepers. You can sit on the lower bunk, or lie down on the upper one.

I believe so. It's the only RZD train leaving Russia to Europe now as sanctions have stopped the rest.

Yes - it's RZD. It's permitted only per some pre-existing international agreement to allow Russia to access Kaliningrad, so there's now no set down or pick up in Europe and it's not a service to Europe as such; merely through it.
